Traditional backstreet pub close to the law courts and hospital. Formerly the Jekyll and Hyde. Reopened as the Queens Head in 2022 (both in tribute to its former name and in honour of the Platinum Jubilee). Extensively refurbished in 2026 to give it a more traditional feel as part of Davenport's British & Best brand. The bar area is now rather snug due to the addition of a private seating booth with high wooden screens. Not original but rather impressive. There are three outdoor drinking areas at the front and rear. Food served throughout the day. Sports TV available.
