Recently refurbished (2021) Victorian two roomed pub, with stained glass windows, located between Chinatown and the gay village. A central bar serves both a public room with wood brass decor and a carpeted lounge with comfortable seating. The venue is theatre themed with many framed posters adorning the walls. Can get busy with a mixed clientelle when performances are on at the Hippodrome Theatre opposite, or the nearby Glee Club. Guest beers are often from Backyard, Milestone and Slaters.

Open again as of October 2025, now less than half the previous size as one half was converted into a Chinese restaurant.
