Popular two-roomed pub very close to the town centre dating from 1845 with a former brew house, a pleasant garden and smoking facilities at the back. A large Pay & Display car park is located at the rear. Large selection of beers, in Cask, Keg & Bottle. Bar snacks are available at any time and traditional lunches on Sundays. Steak night is every Wednesday and pie night is the first Tuesday of the month. Open mic and quiz nights are held regularly, Sunday evening live entertainment and retro games nights are on a monthly cycle. A pool table is located upstairs. Beers are from local and regional breweries and sometimes a real cider is available.
