Just off the marketplace and main shopping area, the pub has one large L-shaped room on a split level. Open-plan seating is to the front of the bar with more intimate bench seating found at the rear. The pub is decorated with historic events and characters associated with the town. The large garden area at the rear offers a tranquil oasis for contemplation. Ten handpulls serve the usual Wetherspoon regulars and seven changing beers. Food is served all day.
