See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
This is one of the few pubs from where CAMRA was launched nationally in 1972, driven by early campaigner the late Peter Linley. In that same year, Walsall CAMRA was formed with an initial brief to cover the country from here north to John O'Groats. On the edge of town, this is a real back-street gem dating from 1845. The pub takes its name from the coloured glazed bricks on the front. The pub has a front bar with a warm, convivial atmosphere and the snug-style lounge has a more intimate feel. Both rooms feature real fires. There is an upstairs function room and a smoking area in the rear courtyard. Folk and poetry nights are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Cobs and pork pies provide sustenance alongside the extensive range of ales from nearby and further afield. Walsall branch pub of the year.
