Golf has been played on Penn Common since the late nineteenth century with Penn Golf Club being established in 1908. The club holds a public license and welcomes visitors to the clubhouse without the need to be signed in.
The clubhouse consists of a modern, comfortable main bar lounge area with views out onto the practice green and golf course. To the rear of the bar is a quieter room called the Stowe room, which contains the majority of the Club's much-envied winners and honours boards and memorabilia of Charlie Stowe whom the room is named after.
A separate function room and a smaller conference room are available for hire.
Food is available and up to two hand pulls in the spring and summer months and one hand pull in autumn and winter.
Entry is via a keypad and non members may need to attract the attention of staff or a member to gain entry. Alternatively ask in the pro shop next door.
Please note at times when there is no golf (e.g. due to adverse weather) the clubhouse hours may be reduced or club house closed
