A Friendly, busy high-street venue near both bus and Metro stations.

Cafe Metro, formerly operated from a smaller premises on Church Street, as a cafe during the daytime and a bar in the evenings. The larger capacity pub now operates from the rear of the building, as The Backroom @ Café Metro. Access is down side street between the bridge over the Metro and No. 56 Church Street, through a small car park.

A small porch, leads into the main room with plentiful seating and a stage to the right, which hosts live bands at the weekends. At the far end, you will find up to 5 real ales, 2 ciders, and craft beer on draught. Cans of craft and bottled Belgium beers are also available, alongside large cobs, pork pies and bar snacks. There is a smoking area with extra seating outside. Regular beer festivals and tap takeovers are held and a Quiz night takes place every first Tuesday of the month.
