A large inter war public house built in 1936 for Butlers to plans by architects Lavender & Twentyman. In 1966 internal alterations saw the three rooms at the front of the pub knocked into one; however in 1976 a wall was rebuilt to make two rooms again. In 1996 the pub was turned into a Harvester Inn concentrating on food and the rooms were knocked back into one.

They have one permanent ale, Hobgoblin Ruby, and two changing handpulls. One rotating between Banks's Mild and Amber and the other always haveing a light/golden ale on such as Brakspear Oxford Gold, Wainwrights, Boondoggle, Hobgoblin Gold, etc.
