A modern pub built for Whitbread which opened in May 1999 next to the hotel also owned by Whitbread. The pub is very close to junction 2 of the M54 motorway and is just inside the city boundaries and with its car park the combination attracts people who have business at the nearby factories and other business. On the opposite side of Stafford road is a large site for occupation by highly skilled business firms.
