See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A very old public house which has been traced back to around 1770 parts of which have been rebuilt and added to during the 19th century. The area was all farm land well into the 20th Century before a few houses were built nearby followed by the Perton estate to its north. The pub is situated close to the listed Wightwick Manor and has car parks to both front and rear.
The pub is relatively isolated and not served direct by public transport, it can be reached from the Bridgnorth Road on foot but it involves a longish uphill walk up Wightwick Bank.
It was refurbished in 2010 when the bar was turned into an eating area and the lounge given a modern make over.
Food is available and the guest beer is usually a national brand with two ales available on busier days.
