Wet led community pub situated in the large Ashmore Park estate which started being built in the mid fifties. The building has two rooms, at the front is a large public bar with pool table and TV screens and at the back is a large plush lounge with booths and a dart board. Note that the back lounge is sometimes closed at quiet times, but always open at weekends and for busy events. Meals are not served but cobs are available on the bar.

The pub is known locally for its many charity events. In 2024 the pub raise over £30k in 12 months for various charities. The pub also provides a food bank service.

In 1956 plans for a new large pub were submitted by architect Bertram Butler. However approval was not given until 1963 and the pub was built shortly afterwards with several different rooms that have since been knocked into just two rooms.
