Roadside Inn first recorded in 1705 as called the Signe of the Sun, by 1754 it was simply named the Sun and an advertisement in the Birmingham Gazette in February 1805 describes the Sun Inn as having a coach house and stabling for more than 30 horses. This stood on what is now the pub car park. The current layout of the building has three rooms, a traditional cosy bar with fire place, pool table and dartboard and two well appointed dining rooms divided by a corridor. There is a function room up stairs and a large garden to the rear. Thursday is quiz night and a popular carvery is served from Noon until 5:30pm on Sunday.
