Built in 1938 this Grade II-listed community local is a rare intact example of a simple inter-war working-class pub. Identified by CAMRA as having a nationally important historic pub interior for retaining its original bar, lounge and snug. Darts and dominoes are played and there are TVs showing sport and horse racing. A covered smokers’ shelter and a beer garden provide outdoor areas. Cobs and pork pies are available at all times. Alternate Saturdays live music and open mic first Tuesday.
