See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Built in the 1950s as an off-licence, the first landlord here served in the Chindit Regiment in Burma in WWII and named it after his comrades. It is thought to be the only pub in the country honouring Major General Orde Wingate’s WWII special forces; their history is displayed in the lounge.
The two-roomed pub consists of a small lounge and a bar and offers up to seven, changing, nationally and locally sourced ales.
Live music Fridays and open mic night is Sunday. Irish traditional music sessions first and third Wednesday of the month.
Ramp on request, no adapted WCs but they are accessible.
