Under new management from April 2024. Updated September 2025. More details to follow. Reopened after 3 months of very tasteful refurbishment under its new name which is in homage to the area's pipe making heritage at the start of October 2022.

The pub has two separate rooms, a lounge and a snug both bursting with character and a central bar between the rooms serving 3 real ales together with craft beers by very welcoming staff. The guest real ale is changed each week and normally comes from the Punch list of guest beers.
