Historic pub in a small village on the B4380 about 4 miles west of Ironbridge. Modernised but retaining an ancient mill and original beamed timbers within. The building featured on the archaeological series "Time Team" a few years ago.
Although open-plan there are in affect two areas; the front with a pool table which has the atmosphere of a locals bar and the side / rear laid out with various sized wooden tables for meals. Photographs of Leighton village and the local area adorn the walls. There are a few tables outside the rear entrance for pleasant summer days and a bench at the front for "watching the world go by".
Vibrant and friendly pub which serves the lovely rural surroundings in beautiful mid-Shropshire.
A guest beer is sometimes served.
