A traditional pub and brewhouse hosting the Rowton Brewery, The bar has 9 handpulls devoted to real ale and traditional cider with additional keg fonts on the back wall of the bar. They also have a Gin of the Month and a Rum of the Month always available.
As this is a tap house for Rowton Brewery you can find 3 of their beers always available as well as Tiger from Everards. The other 4 handpulls rotate beers from both local and national breweries with at least one dark beer on at all times. The remaining 2 handpulls host traditional cider.
The pub is old fashioned in that you won't find any televisions, juke boxes or gaming machines, just the pleasant hubbub of conversation. There is a log burner at one end for the colder months and it is both dog and family friendly.
There is a large sun trap beer garden at the rear of the pub with a covered smoking area with charity barbeques being held in the summer.
They run a very popular Cheese Night every last Tuesday of the month plus support other community events such as Market Charter day in March.
You can enjoy home-made food Monday to Saturday 11am to 4pm plus pork pies and cheese rolls at any time.
