Traditional family run real ale pub, reopened by Rowton Brewery in November 2021 after extensive refurbishment. Local historic pictures displayed around the pub. Features four of their own Rowton beers plus two guests and a (usually) real cider on handpull. Extensive craft range available in the fridge. Live music regularly at weekends, along with vinyl nights and other typical entertainments. Quiet at other times. Pub has two areas plus a pool room with two log burners for the winter months. Patio area is popular in the summer.
