Historic brew-house in secluded location offering a friendly welcome. A small locally renowned institution untouched by modern fads. One of the Famous Four last brew pubs. A cosy log-burner warms the pub in winter and there is a pretty beer garden for the warmer months.
Garden with hens (eggs sold!). Browse newspapers or bring & swap books. On wooded quiet hillside, paths and footbridge to nearby Blists Hill museum, just on the edge of the World Heritage Area. Dog and child friendly. Fresh rolls made to order. TV is set up in the bar for major rugby matches only. Perry sometimes available. The Monday night quiz is a must.
