Re-opened October 2018 after extensive refurbishment by new owners, Black Country Ales, and thoroughly brought up to date with sheltered courtyard, astro-turf and modern toilets including disabled. In early 2026 more refurbishment followed including repositioning of the dartboard cubilcle. The original fireplace has been retained and features log and coal fires on cold winter nights. The bar has 10 hand-pulls, 3 devoted to Black Country Ales, five for guests and two for real cider. Generous bar snacks are available and there is a generous cheese night each Tuesday and numerous other special events throughout the week. Dogs are allowed. Accommodation is available next door (no connection with Black Country Ales). There is municipal free parking 150m away. The easiest route from the railway is through the station car park.
