A well-established inn found in the centre of the High Street of this small market town. The entrance is at the side of the building and leads to the main area, which is in effect two rooms though not physically separated.

The pub does not have its own car park, but there is a public pay & display car park at the rear which is accessed off St Mary's Road (no charge after 6pm or on Sundays) From the car park you enter a long neatly laid out patio / garden with an abundance of tables and benches. This enclosed area is a delightful sun trap in the summer.
