The pub opened under new ownership in August 2018 after undergoing a complete refurbishment. It closed in August 2022 due to rising trading costs. It is a friendly country pub offering good quality home-made food at reasonable prices. A good selection of real ales and fine wines. The beer garden has views over open countryside and for winter visitors a roaring open fire.
