Built in 1813, this pub was originally the first Leamington Library before becoming the Theatre Royal. The original building is Grade II listed. It was for some years known as the Chair & Rocket and more recently, the Jug and Jester. There are pictures depicting the heritage of the town on many of the walls. Eleven TV's are spread around the building including the walled garden at the rear. Look for the unusual collection of stoneware vats on the high shelf in the middle room. The pub is now run by the Stonegate Pub Company and has been renamed The Old Lib
