See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Friendly village pub offering an extensive and varied menu, specials board, vegan menu and up to four real ales. There was a beerhouse listed in Lighthorne at least as far back as 1849 when it was run by Phoebe Lattimer; in 1874 William Lattimer is listed but as a victualer and maltster. It was not until 1900 that first reference to the Antelope is found run by James Henry. The Antelope is a fine building made of the local White Lias limestone with parts of the pub dating back to the sixteenth century. It has obviously grown over the years. A fine old farmhouse probably dating from the 18th century.
