The pub is located in a Georgian building dating from c.1800 and lies a short distance from the town-centre, close to both the racecourse and the castle. The pub is named after the price of a cup of coffee and tot of rum charged to workers building the nearby Grand Union canal in the early 1800s. The single, split-level room has a contemporary feel and a relaxed atmosphere, enhanced by the absence of machines and loud music.
