Welcoming community local attracting boaters from the nearby canal. It comprises a traditional bar, a small lounge featuring unusual arches and from 2023 a games room featuring pool & darts. The handpulls, located in the lounge, presently serve one real ale and one cider. With no music, the place is a conversational hub except occasionally when sport is screened. Pub games, quizzes and raffles are popular. Snacks are offered on darts nights and other occasions.
