See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Picturesque and popular village pub set behind a large pond with its duck and moorhen population. While deservedly popular for food, it remains a community drinkers' pub where real ale outsells lager by a factor of three to one. Drinkers are welcome throughout but veer to the dog-friendly bar with its open fire. The intimate split-level lounge is largely frequented by diners, with disabled access to the lower level. There's a separate restaurant with scenic view plus a skittle alley.
