Splendid old pub on a street largely given over to trendy bars and restaurants. The pub was the birthplace of the Staffordshire regiment, with the house ale of Lillingstone's Regimental named in honour of the officer who raised the regiment. Good value bar meals are served at lunchtimes and Friday and Saturday evenings. The two guest beers are from the Marstons portfolio. Beer terrace to the rear. Quizzes, open mic and live entertainment feature regularly.
