Modern wine bar-type pub, the first to be owned by Lymestone Brewery of Stone; one of the guest beers will be from their seasonal range and their bottled beer is always available. Accessed via an alley way in between the estate agents and Chatwins, the pub is basically one L-shaped room with a mixture of chairs and sofas, plus a piano in the corner for that old-fashioned feel. At least eight real ciders are stocked, advertised on a tall pole; a good lunchtime menu is served, including the local delicacy Staffordshire Oatcakes which are sold with a range of fillings and are highly recommended. Note that the pub opens at 12noon on Bank Holidays. Also note that doors will be locked half an hour before closing time.
