Note - The pub closed in 2025, and on 28 March 2026 it was announced that permission had been sought to convert the building to an HMO.

Fairly large, traditional pub, set well back from the road next to the park. Recently taken over by Joule's of Market Drayton and thoroughly made over in their usual style; the guest beer will be the Joules seasonal brew, and the house beer, Waggy's Wobbler, is simply Slumbering Monk under a different name. On entry, the left hand door leads to the bar, lively with conversation, whilst the door on the right leads to the lounge, quieter and more relaxed.
