Railwayman's ArmsSevern Valley Railway Station, Hollybush Road
See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
The Railwaymans Arms opened in 1861 as a refreshment room a year before the railway itself and has never closed. It is situated on platform 1 of the heritage railway in Bridgnorth. There are nine handpumps serving a selection of local and national real ales, one serving cider or perry. The bars contain lots of railway memorabilia and the platform drinking area is an ideal place to soak up the atmosphere of a steam railway. Very popular at weekends and holidays. There are plans for a major refurbishment soon when the two rooms will increase to three. The opening hours may vary in Winter, when the railway is not operating.
