A former Georgian farmhouse set the heart of rural Shropshire which became a pub in the early 1850’s. A bustling locals pub which is also popular with walkers and cyclists. It reopened in late 2015 following a refurbishment after a 5 year closure. A conservatory was added in 2016. Entrance is into the main bar which has an open fire and cosy wooden bench seating. To the rear is a snug with old fashioned range lit during cold winter months. To the left of the bar is a traditionally decorated lounge leading to the conservatory. Outdoor toilet facilities are available for the use of ramblers. In 2018 the kitchen was refurbished and meals are now served every day until 7 pm except on Sundays.
Local branch Rural Pub of the Year 2020
The large car park and the garden area also contains a boules piste with the pub boasting two local teams.
