The premises were originally a tea-rooms, then a restaurant ("The Haywain") before becoming a the River & Rail pub in 2000. Following its sale by the former owners in 2010 it was extensively refurbished by the new owners. This food orientated pub enjoys a delightful setting in a small hamlet on the banks of the river Severn. There are lots of outdoor tables and benches in the gardens where visitors can enjoy ales and meals. There is also a large covered patio area near the entrance to the pub. The pub itself has a single bar area with a large dining area at a lower level. Opening times may vary - so please call ahead to check
