Three roomed pub with a lot of history - it was mentioned in the Doomsday book. In fact there were holding cells underneath the pub where prisoners were held before being hanged at the crossroads outside or dropped into the well which is still a feature in the lounge. The character and age of the pub are not overawed by Banks's refurbishment.There is a large public bar with low beams and raised snug area. 1 of the 3 regular ales is sometimes changeable to a guest beers.A deep well by the bar is a feature of the lounge, It has stone floors and is dog friendly. The pub regularly hosts charity events (quizzes etc.) and has active darts teams (male and female). There is live music every Fri & Sat and there are 4 letting rooms available
