A famous half-timbered Tudor façade is adorned with carved wooden motifs of the Prince of Wales’ three feathers emblem, built in 1619 and converted into a hotel in 1669. Grade I listed in 1954. Whilst extensively refurbished in 2018, many original features, including wood paneling and fireplaces, have been retained. The former bar to the right is now a coffee shop, and a new bar has been added in the body of the hotel, with a new ceramic fronted counter. Drinkers are directed to one of the two front rooms one of which has an ornate fireplace. Drinks are brought to your table. Drinks tend to be a little above average prices for the area.
