This Georgian Hotel has been the centre of Oswestry's commercial life for many years, Following purchase by the Coaching Inn group it has undergone a major make-over in 2022 to a very high standard resulting in the awarding of 5 Stars by the AA.

The bar area relects this and is much transformed from the rather stark decor of the past. However, the historic bell box on the ll opposite the bar has been retained. There are two handpumps and although one one beer is on currently it is planned to have two on for the summer.

The former bowling green is being reinstated.

There is a Spa and Gym that allows those that need to work up a thirst to do so in the pleasant surroundings at the rear of the premises (The fitness centre was the old stable block of this former coaching inn).
