This pub has been in the same family for around 100 years and its atmosphere has an air of continuity. The 'new generation' of the family have been managing it since 2013, and the feel of The Windmill is still there. There's a bar and two dining rooms leading off, all being rather cottagey in style. Winter visitors may well be attracted to the large and impressive inglenook fireplace in the bar. The pub is situated on a little hill. The English Garden looks east to Shropshire, whilst the Welsh Garden opens up the views towards Wales. Please phone ahead later in the evenings to check if still open as they do close if quiet, dining 7:30-8pm or later should book ahead.
