A large pub with a public bar to the front and lounge and restaurant areas to the rear. along with a conservatory overlooking the attractive garden. It's also possible to have a view of the remains of Whittington Castle which is very close. All in all, the whole thing is done out comfortably and tastefully. Dogs are allowed in the front bar only Bingo nights are held monthly and live music takes place occasionally. The two handpumps are in the rear part of the bar. The single real ale is either Salopian Shropshire Gold or Wye Valley HPA. Note that the handpumps are unbadged so you need to ask which is available.
