Situated on what used to be the busy A5 route to North Wales, the Old Three Pigeons, having been in the same family for over thirty years, is a well established pub/restaurant. Although much of the space is devoted to dining in three rooms, provision is made for the casual drinker in two bars. These have a cosy rustic feel, with low beamed ceilings, boarded floors, "country style" tables and chairs, sofas and a wood burning fire. The exposed walls are of interest in that they are built from very large blocks of the local red sandstone. In 2015 the landlord set up a two barrel brewing plant, which was used to brew Ness Ales' Humphrey's Tipple. However the venture only lasted a couple of years. The brew was named after Humphrey Kynaston, Shropshire's answer to Robin Hood, whose ghost is said to pay the occasional visit! One can even visit "Kynaston's Cave" in the Nesscliffe Country Park which is close by. Once owned by the Wrekin Brewery of Wellington and later Greenall Whitley.
