Re opened in October 2022 under enthusiastic new management. This 16th century former post office and pub was first granted a licence by Wrexham Brewery in 1850. The family run pub has an open plan layout with three distinct areas, the bar area having half tiled hardwood flooring, a real fire, and comfortable rustic style seating. Exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace stacked with logs make for a pleasant experience. Food and drink is sourced locally as much as possible. Dogs, walkers and cyclists are all welcome. A handpumped cider (often Lilley's which is not "real" as defined by CAMRA) is served in Summer. In Winter, a fourth beer from a local brewery is served. The pub is tucked away opposite the church.
