Re-opened in May 2018 after a wholescale, but very tasteful, refurbishment. The original parts of the building have been taken back to the structure, revealing bare brickwork and beams, and the small room behind the bar has been returned to its original use as a cosy snug, complete with wood-burner. Elsewhere, the indoor area has been greatly extended to the side and rear in a fashion sympathetic to the rest of the pub. Walkers and Cyclists are very welcome here, with the latter being especially catered for with a bike rack. The one free-of-tie handpump offers a constantly changing beer. During the summer, Cider is offered on handpump.
