A popular and friendly local in this large South Shropshire village. There's one room downstairs together with a conservatory which is used for dining. In addition, an upstairs lounge looks out onto the beer garden. There's an active social scene based at the pub. A redecoration in 2019 saw the pub adopt a more contemporary feel. Also, it's on the route of the summer only Shropshire Hills Shuttle bus, together with being the starting point for walk number 14 in the Walking with Offa series. The site owner seeks planning permission for demolition and use of the site for housing (Dec 2021).
