Winners of the Branch Market Towns Pub of the Year 2018, 2019 and 2020 and overall Pub of the Year in 2019. The Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) named the pub the UK’s Best Rural Independent Craft Beer Pub or Bar 2020. Six cask beers are supplemented by eight other draught beers, of which at least three are Keykeg. The range constantly changes, with over 600 different cask and 150 keg/Keykeg beers a year served pre-Coronavirus. A substantial range of bottle and can beers are carried from across the UK and overseas.

The limited food offering has an emphasis on Shropshire and Welsh produce with local cheese, pork pies, scotch eggs, charcuterie and locally sourced venison casserole on the menu.

Local community groups are welcome. A range of board games, for children and adults, is provided and the pub is very dog friendly being voted Most Dog Friendly Pub in the West Midlands in 2017.
