The offer of food all day to locals and the busy passing trade is also appreciated. A welcoming bar has a real fire in winter and there is a pleasant beer garden for the summer. There is a games room with TV, pool and darts, separate from the main restaurant area. A recent change of management does not appear to have detracted from the forward strides the pub was taking. However the quirky positioning of the piano in the fireplace is now just a memory! Pant means 'hollow' in Welsh, maybe because it lies directly below the disused mines at Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve. This serves as a reminder that hereabouts. the very penetrable national frontier is close by.! New management from March 2024. The real ales will always be from Stonehouse Brewery.
