Reopened as The Gates at Ford on 1/6/24. It was previously and American diner type place called Smoke Stop which closed in 2022 and before that was a pub called The Cross Gates. The pub has undergone a tastefull redecoration before reopening. From 01/07/2024, the pub is open Mon-Sun and serving meals. Three real ales are served, 2 regular and 1 changing. Sport is shown on TV and there is a games room with darts. Quizzes are also held.
