This cosy, bustling pub, a regular in the Good Beer Guide, has been run by the same family since 1985, as has been a free house since the late 1980s. It has one large, L-shaped room, heated by an efficient log burner. The bar and major drinking area occupy the large stroke of the L, the smaller stroke has the darts oche and another drinking area. The pub almost always sells Draught Bass and has done so through three generations of cellar keepers. Disabled access is via the rear gate - phone pub prior to arrival.
