The oldest secular building in town, with parts of the building date from 1287, and a court room and later a coaching inn occupied the site. Situated in the centre of this small town just below the Long Mynd and close to the A49. The bar area is spacious and brightly lit with modern decor, most of the seating is around the edge of the room. There is a separate restaurant and a pleasant garden to the side. Parking is available in the public car park opposite. Under new management as of October 2025. The beer range is mainly the Marston's range.
