See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Now describing itself as a 'Riverbar & Grill', this is a pleasant pub on the River Severn at the foot of Porthill footbridge makiing it a pleasant walk through parkland from the town centre. The building is several centuries old and has a long narrow, comfortably furnished interior. It has a riverside garden which is very popular in fine weather. Up to six real ales are served, most of which will be from Shropshire breweries. This is a sister pub to the Lion & Pheasant in the town centre. Was previously noted as being a bit pricy for beers, this is now not the case with the price of a pint of real ale being about average for Shrewsbury.
