Pub and hotel near Shrewsbury Market Hall. The split level interior has bare floorboards and an assortment of furnishings. It is often very busy and a sign by the entrance says "wait there to be seated", but this applies to those wishing to eat. There is plenty of seating near the bar. Three handpumps serve a varying beer range, nearly always from local breweries.

Outside seating on the pavement is well used & well as the rear courtyard area.
