One handpump dispenses a house beer from Brightside Brewery, the other seven dispense beers come from breweries near and far. Although geared towards dining, it is more than welcoming to those in search of liquid refreshment with stools at the bar. It is always busy, but service is efficient. Often, though not always free of background music. A varying range of boxed ciders (not all "real" as defined by CAMRA) is available in summer months. Foodwise, a light menu of "elevenses" is served from 10am - noon with the main menu available thereafter. It is advisable to book ahead for food.
